How do I add my own FedEx shipping account?

How to set up your FedEx account and link the FedEx API to PSM

If you do not know how to get Meter Number or Key for your FedEx account, highlighted, follow the steps below.


  1. Go to the FedEx Developer website using the following link.
  2. Log in or create an account.
  3. Select FedEx Services.
  4. In the Tab "FedEx Services," Select Get Production Key.
  5. Click Get Production Key Again
  6. Read and agree to the License Agreement, select I accept when finished.
  7. Select the options for the Application profile.
  8. Read and agree to the EULA, select I accept when finished.
  9. Fill out the FedEx contact information and the Company Billing Address, select Continue when finished.
  10. Securely retain the Authentication Key and Meter Number.

Part One - Logging into FedEx Developer

Select FedEx Web Services, highlighted in RED.

Part Two - Production Key

Select Get Production Key, highlighted in RED.

Part Three - Production Key Continued

Select Get Production Key again, highlighted in RED.

Part Four - License Agreement

Click the image to view it in full size.

Read and agree to the License Agreement, highlighted in RED.

Select the I Accept button when finished, highlighted in GREEN.

Part Five - Application Profile

Click the image to view it in full size.

Select Yes or No, if you intend to resell the software or not, highlighted in RED.

Note: If you select yes you will need to comply with the FedEx Compatible Solutions Program.

Select FedEx Web Services for Shipping, highlighted in GREEN.

Select Corporate Developer or Consultant, highlighted in BLUE.

Select Continue when finished, highlighted in YELLOW.

Part Six - EULA Agreement

Read and agree to the EULA Agreement, select I Accept when finished, highlighted in RED.


Part Seven - FedEx Contact and Company Billing Information

Select Continue when finished, highlighted in YELLOW.

Part Eight - Authentication Key & Meter Number Confirmation

Securely retain the Authentication Key, highlighted in RED.

Note: The Authentication Key will NOT be included in your confirmation email.

Securely retain the Meter Number, highlighted in GREEN.

How to add your personal FedEx account to PSM Shipper

Part One - Enabling Personal Shipping Accounts

The Shipper software allows you to use your own FedEx shipping account. To get started using your personal account, please follow these steps:


Part One - Select the Settings Menu

Part Two - Enter the Account Information

Enter the Account Number, Meter Number, Key and Password highlighted in RED.
